The technical team from the KOPIA Ecuador Center, accompanied by its Director, Hong Seongsig, carried out a technical visit during which the main progress and activities developed within the framework of the FONTAGRO project were presented.
During the meeting, the experience gained in greenhouse gas (GHG) measurements in potato crops was shared, highlighting the methodologies used to quantify emissions under different agricultural management practices and their importance for evaluating more sustainable production alternatives.
The visit provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge on GHG monitoring, crop management, and the generation of scientific information aimed at understanding the relationship between agricultural practices, productivity, and emissions.
This exchange strengthens institutional collaboration and contributes to promoting technical and scientific cooperation for the development of strategies toward more sustainable, efficient, and low-emission Andean agriculture.
