FONTAGRO is a strategic investment and co-financing fund, created by the finance ministers of its member countries, and is unique worldwide. Its mission is to foster strategic alliances and build multi-country, multi-stakeholder, and multidisciplinary networks to enable the sustainable financing of agricultural research, development, and innovation (R&D&I).
It also serves as a leading forum for technological innovation, promoting regional dialogue to boost the competitiveness of the agri-food sector, reduce poverty, and promote the sustainable use of natural resources.
