The Instituto Nacional de Investigaciones Agropecuarias (INIAP) received, from March 23 to 26, 2026, the visit of Dr. Elizabeth Heros and Dr. Sady García, specialists from the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina, within the framework of the project’s technical implementation activities.

During their stay, the researchers carried out a work agenda focused on capacity building and knowledge exchange on key topics for the project’s progress. The visit included technical meetings with the INIAP research team, where progress, methodologies, and results achieved were analyzed.

As part of the field activities, a visit was conducted to the trial site located in the province of Chimborazo, where the development of greenhouse gas sampling was evaluated, and technical criteria on potato crop management were exchanged. These activities helped identify opportunities for improvement and strengthen shared approaches between both countries.

The participation of the representatives from the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina contributed to consolidating interinstitutional relationships and promoting regional knowledge exchange. In this way, the commitment of the participating institutions to generating technological solutions aimed at addressing current challenges in the agricultural sector and benefiting producers in the region is reaffirmed.
