🐂❄️ Training, knowledge exchange, and updates to face the livestock winter
Last Thursday, June 4th, a Livestock Field Day was held in Basail, organized by INTA AER Basail and the Animal Production Research Group of INTA EEA Colonia Benítez.
📚 During the event, technical recommendations were shared to face one of the most critical periods of the year, addressing key aspects such as:
✅ Nutritional planning for the herd.
✅ Pasture management and forage availability.
✅ Strategic supplementation.
✅ Disease prevention and control.
✅ High-risk animal categories during winter.
✅ Strategies to maintain productivity and animal welfare.
🎤 The presentations were led by Agr. Eng. Marcelo Pamies and Agr. Eng. José Rosello, who shared experiences and research findings applied to the region's livestock systems.
🌱 The field day continued at the “Loma Alta” family establishment, where participants were able to see, analyze, and debate livestock management practices under real production conditions.
