The guide was prepared by specialists from AGROSAVIA, INTA Costa Rica, IDIAP and the University of Florida. It recommends hourly measurement, inside and outside structures, of variables such as temperature, humidity, solar radiation and CO₂. It also proposes indicators for yield, profitability, water-use efficiency, carbon footprint, food security and gender equity, and presents protected agriculture as one of the main climate change adaptation measures.
