The project is led by IDIAF (Dominican Republic) together with INIA Peru and INIAP Ecuador, and brings in more than 15 banana associations and cooperatives. Ma$ Banano has been available on Google Play since January 2022. It lets growers capture data weekly and send it to their association’s database, which produces real-time reports. Records that once served only for audits now help decide how to improve on the farm, in the packing house and across the association.
