On October 24, the Ecuadorian team, composed of Dr. Iván Samaniego and Eng. Verónica Suango, visited the facilities of the Universidad Agraria La Molina (UNALM) with the purpose of conducting the first working workshop of the FONTAGRO ATN/RF-21534-RG project, entitled “Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in the potato–pasture system of Ecuador and Peru.” This visit allowed for the presentation and discussion of the methodologies planned for the implementation of conservation agriculture plots, as well as the procedures for field sampling of greenhouse gases (GHG) using static chambers, in accordance with the project work plan. Additionally, the teams from Ecuador and Peru carried out a technical visit to IRD Sierra in Huancayo, where the experimental trial was implemented. These activities were aimed at strengthening the technical capacities of the researchers, unifying methodological criteria, establishing implementation commitments, and ensuring a shared understanding to enable the proper and coordinated execution of the activities planned within the project.
