On August 27, 2026, the webinar “Experiences in Greenhouse Gas Emissions in South America” was held with the participation of specialists from Latin America and New Zealand.

During the event, Dr. Iván Samaniego from Ecuador presented the country’s experience in GHG measurements in Andean crops, highlighting the methodologies applied to quantify emissions under different agricultural management practices.

The webinar also addressed methane monitoring in rice systems and efficient nitrogen use. This exchange, supported by FONTAGRO and New Zealand, strengthens scientific cooperation and the development of strategies for more sustainable, low-emission agriculture.
