On February 14, the webinar titled “AI for Everyday Use in Scientific Research Work” took place, gathering a wide audience interested in exploring the applications of artificial intelligence in the field of research.
The webinar featured a presentation by Dr. Martín Oesterheld – Chief Scientist of FONTAGRO and an honorary professor and researcher at the University of Buenos Aires and CONICET. He shared his experience and insights on how this technology can be useful and motivating, especially for those who are not yet fully familiar with the use of artificial intelligence in their work.
During his presentation, he emphasized how, in recent years, generative AI models have become accessible to those working in scientific and technological research, offering tools that can make work more effective and efficient. “We are in a transitional phase where various levels of adoption of this technology coexist, in a context marked by doubts about its limits and prospects.”
He also highlighted that AI can help analyze problems from multiple perspectives, providing information in a more personalized manner than traditional tools. He underscored AI's capacity to accelerate and simplify the reading of technical documents, reduce language and disciplinary barriers, and assist in writing texts, statistical analysis, and creating visual content tailored to different audiences.
We thank all participants for their active attendance and commitment to the topic, and Dr. Martín Oesterheld for his valuable presentation, which undoubtedly provides innovative tools and perspectives for researchers looking to incorporate artificial intelligence into their daily work.
