On May 20, at Isabella Farm, owned by Limonagro and located in Boquemonte, Tuluá (Valle del Cauca), AGROSAVIA C.I. Palmira held a field day to present progress on the Tropical Agriculture 4.0: Efficient Water Use project, funded by FONTAGRO and implemented in partnership with ASORUT and Visualiti S.A.S.
The event brought together members of Citrivalle, professionals from Asohofrucol, ICA officials, students, and producers interested in learning about the project’s results and technologies aimed at efficient water management. Discussions covered plant water physiology, monitoring of the soil-plant-atmosphere continuum, and the potential of technologies such as sensors and IoT networks to improve irrigation decision-making.
As part of the event, Visualiti S.A.S. conducted a live demonstration of the technological platform, allowing participants to experience the developed tools firsthand. The event stood out for its practical and educational approach, generating strong interest in the adoption of technologies for more efficient and sustainable agriculture.
