The proposal, directed by Dr. Luciano Merini and coordinated by Dr. Luciano Levin with a team of professionals from La Pampa, was recognized in the City of Buenos Aires. The award highlighted its vision of meeting today’s needs without compromising resources for future generations, with a triple environmental, social and economic impact. The project uses innovative family-farming strategies to remediate mining-affected soils by growing aromatic plants, which are then used to extract essential oils and produce bio-inputs and natural cosmetics.
