The “State-of-the-art assessment of the cacao value chain in Latin America and the Caribbean,” published in 2018, runs to 82 pages. It includes detailed profiles of seven producing countries, a regional analysis of production, markets and research, and a SWOT analysis of the sector. The country-level intervention areas, defined at the Quevedo workshop, give each institution a clear guide to move toward more sustainable and competitive production.
