Ecuador is the world’s largest producer of fine-flavor cacao: it exports 86% of its production, and 75% of that volume is fine-flavor. In Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Nicaragua and Venezuela, fine cacao makes up 95% to 100% of exports. Colombia, for its part, has grown its exports of cacao and derivatives by 41% since 2010. The platform aims to build on this advantage to win premium market segments.
