In the framework of the FONTAGRO project ATN/RF 21532-RG “Integration of Productive Systems as a Strategy for Mitigating and Adapting to Climate Change,” led by INTA-Argentina, the event brought together researchers from Argentina, Chile, the Dominican Republic, and Uruguay, promoting technical exchange and the harmonization of methodologies. The Uruguayan counterpart is led by Valentina Rubio, with Virginia Pravia and Verónica Ciganda participating.
The activities included an internal project meeting to present progress and coordinate between countries, followed by open training sessions on tools for estimating carbon footprint and resilience indicators, featuring international experts from Argentina, Ireland, and other countries. Additionally, a visit was organized to the Long-Term Agricultural Rotation Experiment “Lavalleja-Castro.” The workshop contributed to strengthening capacities and advancing the generation of comparable information to support mitigation and adaptation strategies in the region:
