The workshop, held under the FONTAGRO project, presented the activities underway in Tucumán and coordinated joint actions. Dr. Florencia Lucca of INTA Balcarce presented the PhytoAlert early warning system, environmental and economic impact indices, preventive management strategies and monitoring of the pathogen. The Secretariat of Family Farming and Tucumán’s Undersecretariat of Agricultural Affairs and Food also took part. The meeting ended with concrete agreements: trials in the early-season and seed-potato areas, georeferencing of strategic alert points and sampling in both zones. All with a shared goal: using fewer fungicides and strengthening more sustainable production.
