Producing more food in less space and with more efficient water use is one of agriculture's biggest challenges. In this context, vertical farming is showing concrete results: trials conducted by INTA Mendoza have recorded significant yield increases and a marked reduction in water consumption compared to other production systems.

The research is part of an international project in collaboration with science and technology organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean. The study evaluated these systems in controlled environments, where temperature, humidity, lighting, and fertigation can be regulated to adapt production to different objectives.
