As part of the XX Annual Technical Follow-up Workshop of FONTAGRO Projects, 24 researchers from 15 agricultural research institutes in FONTAGRO member countries participated in a training workshop on Knowledge Management and Communication. This training was conducted by the team from the Technical and Administrative Secretariat of FONTAGRO and focused on developing skills for Digital Communication and Scientific Dissemination.
The goal of the workshop was to equip participants with the tools and knowledge to create attractive, accessible scientific content with significant social impact. Through a practical and up-to-date approach, key trends in digital communication were discussed, including the use of social media, visual communication tools, and artificial intelligence.
Participants learned to transform how they present and exchange scientific knowledge by incorporating best practices in the use of images, photos, videos, and visual resources. Additionally, the institutional communication policies of FONTAGRO were reviewed, including the correct use of logos and graphic guidelines.
This workshop also trained participants in effectively communicating the advancements and results of their projects through various dissemination products offered by FONTAGRO. As part of the training process, interviews and video recordings were conducted for the Science Voices initiative, which aims to give a voice to the leaders of each project in audiovisual pieces of less than a minute, highlighting the most relevant aspects of their research.
The training was led by Adrián Orsetti, Specialist in Visual Communication, and Michael Hernández, Specialist in Integrated Communication at FONTAGRO, who shared their experience and knowledge with the participants, fostering a collaborative and interactive atmosphere.
FONTAGRO reaffirms its commitment to strengthening scientific communication capacities in the region, thereby promoting better exchange of knowledge and results that benefit agriculture and sustainable development in member countries.
