From March 11 to 19, 2025, FONTAGRO successfully carried out a virtual training course on “Research Project Preparation.” The course strengthened the skills of 25 researchers in developing effective research proposals, particularly for FONTAGRO’s funding calls.
The main objective of the course was to provide participants with tools to express the originality, relevance, methodological rigor, and feasibility of their projects in well-crafted written proposals. Over the course of five modules, totaling 15 hours of instruction, participants explored key aspects of research project development.
The training was led by Martín Oesterheld, Chief Scientist at FONTAGRO, and covered topics such as: the structure and essential components of a research project, planning and writing processes, text revision, and project evaluation. Participants also learned about the responsible use of artificial intelligence tools to improve the quality of their proposals.
This course aimed not only to improve participants’ technical skills, but also to foster collaboration and the exchange of ideas among research teams, thereby strengthening the impact of initiatives supported by FONTAGRO in Latin America and the Caribbean.
FONTAGRO remains committed to offering training opportunities that promote agricultural research in the region, contributing to sustainable development and innovation in the sector.
