In an unprecedented advance, an international team of scientists has, for the first time in the world, edited a commercial biofertilizer that promises to increase soybean productivity by up to 6%. This innovative project, titled "Higher Agricultural Production with Lower Nitrous Oxide Emissions," is led by Nicolás Ayub, principal researcher at CONICET and an expert at the Institute of Genetics and the Institute of Agrobiotechnology and Molecular Biology at INTA – Argentina.
The initiative involves collaboration with prominent research institutes, including the Argeninta Foundation, INTA - Argentina, the Clemente Estable Biological Research Institute - Uruguay, the National University of Colombia, the University of La Frontera - Chile, and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) - Spain.
