The team at FONTAGRO's Technical and Administrative Secretariat is launching a series of trainings designed to strengthen the strategic management of research and development (R&D) projects in the region's agri-food systems. On February 6th, these meetings commenced, aimed at researchers, administrative staff, and those responsible for knowledge management and communication of FONTAGRO projects, with an attendance of 92 people from institutions across the 15 member countries.
The training program primarily aims to enhance capacities in key areas such as planning, financial execution, monitoring and evaluation of projects, as well as communication of results and impact through digital tools and knowledge management approaches. Sessions will be held weekly, offering a comprehensive approach to addressing the challenges facing projects at the regional level.
“With these trainings, we aim not only to ensure the success of funded projects but also to strengthen the overall capabilities of stakeholders involved in agricultural innovation in Latin America and the Caribbean,” commented Eugenia Saini, Executive Secretary of FONTAGRO.
This initiative represents an important step towards the continuous improvement of project management in the region, promoting collaboration and knowledge exchange among participants.
