The Administrative Technical Secretariat of FONTAGRO successfully conducted the course “Publishing Research Results,” aimed at researchers of projects funded by the Fund. The fundamental objective of this course was to improve the scientific writing skills of the participants and to foster the international dissemination of the achievements reached by the projects in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Attendees addressed essential topics such as research quality and scientific articles, rough text planning, paragraph structure, sections of a scientific article, as well as issues of authorship and ethics in publishing. The editorial process was also discussed, from journal selection to peer review. A cross-cutting theme of the course was the use of AI in all stages of writing.
The course had the participation of 33 researchers from various nationalities, including Costa Rica, Colombia, Panama, Argentina, Honduras, Paraguay, Chile, Ecuador, and the United States. The training was led by Martín Oesterheld, Scientific Specialist at FONTAGRO, who shared his valuable experience with the participants, enriching their professional development.
