From August 24 to 28, 2026, the Technical and Administrative Secretariat of FONTAGRO is offering the course "Publication of Research Results," designed for researchers working on projects funded by the Fund and for specialists from national agricultural research institutes that are members of FONTAGRO. The course aims to strengthen participants' scientific writing skills and enhance the international visibility of the progress achieved by projects in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Throughout the week, participants will work on key aspects of scientific communication: how to ensure the quality of research and the articles that disseminate it, the overall organization of the text, the construction of effective paragraphs, and the different sections that make up a scientific article. The program also includes modules on authorship and ethics in publication, as well as an overview of the complete editorial process, from journal selection to peer review. As a cross-cutting theme, the course incorporates the use of artificial intelligence in the different stages of scientific writing.
This edition includes 122 researchers from various countries in the region, including Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Spain, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela. The training is led by Martín Oesterheld, Scientific Operations Specialist at FONTAGRO, who shares his expertise with the participants as part of this professional development process.
With this initiative, FONTAGRO reaffirms its commitment to the ongoing development of scientific research capabilities, supporting researchers in the region in communicating and disseminating their knowledge and achievements.
