On Wednesday, September 23, during the Digital Agriculture Week of IICA, Director General Manuel Otero and the Digitalization Program took the initiative to recognize FONTAGRO as a friend organization of IICA. This valuable recognition was materialized with the unveiling of the FONTAGRO logo on the wall of the IICA headquarters in San José, Costa Rica.
In this ceremony, other strategic partners of the institute were also highlighted, including the IDB, thus reaffirming the importance of collaboration between institutions in the agri-food sector.
It is worth noting that both the IDB and IICA are sponsors of FONTAGRO, which enhances a far-reaching strategic alliance. Together, these three institutions drive key actions such as financing and co-financing innovation projects, generating knowledge platforms, strengthening capacities in member countries, and promoting evidence-based policies to transform agri-food systems in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Representing FONTAGRO was Roberto Camacho, National Executive Director of Innovation and Technology Transfer in Agricultural Excellence of Costa Rica, and a member of the FONTAGRO Board of Directors.
This act symbolizes the firm commitment of FONTAGRO and its strategic partners to work together towards sustainable and innovative agri-food systems in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Let us continue building a more digital and efficient future for agriculture together!
