In 2014, FONTAGRO, the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries, and the IDB established a regional project aimed at building capacity in measuring greenhouse gas emissions from livestock in both traditional and improved systems. The project also sought to facilitate the design of mitigation strategies and the formulation of policies to promote sustainable livestock systems in Central America and the Andes.
Final Report
Twenty-five countries in Latin America and the Caribbean join forces to promote increased livestock productivity and the reduction of greenhouse gases, contributing to climate change adaptation and mitigation.
