Livestock and Climate Change: Applied Research and Knowledge Dissemination

Technical cooperation for resilient agriculture.

In 2014, FONTAGRO, the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries, and the IDB established a regional project aimed at building capacity in measuring greenhouse gas emissions from livestock in both traditional and improved systems. The project also sought to facilitate the design of mitigation strategies and the formulation of policies to promote sustainable livestock systems in Central America and the Andes.
