Delivery of iron-rich bean seeds.

In October, the planting of beans in Panama begins. The Regional Alliances project for the dissemination of iron-rich beans in Latin America and the Caribbean, coordinated by the Institute for Agricultural Innovation of Panama, begins the delivery of iron-rich bean seeds of the IDIAP 0911 and IDIAP 1338 varieties to producers in the provinces of Veraguas, Herrera, Chiriquí, Los Santos and the Ngabe Buglé region. The objective is to promote the scaling up of certified seed production and encourage the production of these grains to support good nutrition.
