Karen Amorocho, UIS master's student, presents poster at CICAT 2024
On September 24, 2024, Karen Viviana Amorocho, master's student at the Universidad Industrial de Santander, presented within the framework of the project "Nanofertilizantes en el suelo y emisiones de óxido nitroso", the Poster entitled "Obtaining nanomaterials by high-energy milling for evaluation in biomass production and nitrogen absorption in Ray Grass crops" at the XXIX Congreso Iberoamericano de Catálisis held en Bilbao, España.
This congress was the propitious space to share results on the impact of the synthesis, characterization and evaluation of nanozeolites in greenhouse Lolium perenne crops, showing the potential of nanostructured zeolites for agricultural applications, increasing fresh biomass production (41.1%) and improving nitrogen absorption capacity (56%) in ray grass crops.
