The Latin American market of Fine Aroma National cocoa is hampered by high cadmium contents in the beans.
The project suggests an innovative, efficient, and climate-smart bioprocess to reduce cadmium accumulation.
The results will benefit soil by increasing its water efficiency and atmospheric carbon capture. This causes plants growth and, consequently, the amount of organic matter in the soil, providing an intelligent response to the consequences of climate change.
