On August 17, in the province of Chaco, Argentina, a conference was held with INTA technicians who participate in the Fontagro Project. Work was done on the investments that will be made in each pilot site to implement technologies, and also defining the objectives, the indicators for monitoring and, finally, the training for the sector. Within the framework of the Fontagro project -also carried out in the Paraguayan and Bolivian Chaco, together with institutions from those countries- 25 pilot sites have been installed in Argentina throughout the Province of Chaco, with the aim of incorporating technologies that allow increasing bovine productivity: "What we are doing today is agreeing on the work plan for the coming months, with two central objectives: trying to define for each of the sites what is going to be done and how; and what plan of training will be associated with this pilot site for producers," said Dr. Alejandro Radrizzani, director of the project. And, regarding the proposals to deepen the training of producers in the area, he added: "With the virtual training plan we want to scale it to a greater number of livestock producers and family members of the Chaco region in general." In addition, the director of INTA Chaco Formosa, Diana Piedra, was present at the opening of the day, who welcomed and highlighted the priority of the livestock issue for the region in the two provinces. He highlighted the teams of professionals in the different units of the Regional Center with a lot of potential to contribute: “...we want INTA to be present in every space where the producer is", explained Piedra. Along with the director, the Coordinator of the Forage, Pasture and Pasture Program, Alejandro Radrizzani; Pablo Usandivaras and Hector Lipshitz.
