Field work day for the installation of drinkers for goats and horses.
Promoted by the Extension Agency of INTA Chos Malal, and financed by FÇONTAGRO and INTA, a working and training day was held in Trómen Provincial Park, Province of Neuquén. Producers and park rangers were trained in the installation of drinking troughs for goats and horses.
With the drinking trough technology, all the water available for the animals can be used to the maximum. In addition, the strategic placement of the troughs allows for a better distribution of water in the field, facilitating grazing management and avoiding the loss of energy due to animal movement, allowing the animals to have access to clean, quality water.
The FONTAGRO project promotes these technological innovations that favor the adaptation of producers to climate change, and therefore supports this joint work between the breeders of the Trómen area and the park rangers of the Trómen Natural Protected Area and INTA.
This activity was also broadcast on the radio and social networks, which resulted in a large request for information and exchanges of experiences between producers and technicians.
