The INIA Chile team, led by Dr. Francisco Salazar, carried out last month studies of nitrous oxide emissions and ammonia volatilization from feces and urine of cattle fed with and without legumes. The results of these studies, which are added to the enteric methane emission already carried out by this work team, will allow evaluating the effect of the animal diet with legumes on the emission of two of the main greenhouse gases, from the soil. and from the aforementioned ruminants.
