Carolina Alvarez continued, who seeks to evaluate mitigation strategies of N2O emissions from the soil in pastoral and intensified systems of bovine production in the central region of Córdoba, Argentina.
The general objective of her work is to examine how changes in feeding in two contrasting bovine production schemes affect N2O emissions from the soil and some factors that condition them. The two production systems she is evaluating are pastoral and free range.
Throughout 2020, Carolina and the work team carried out differential urine and faeces collection according to the animal diet, urine and faeces analysis to evaluate nitrogen content, application of excreta to the field and start of gas sampling greenhouse effect in the different treatments and for the different seasons of the year.
Throughout 2020, work continued to evaluate mitigation strategies for N2O emissions under different production systems
