As a landscape ecologist focused on biodiversity conservation, my ultimate research goal is to find pathways to sustainable management that can balance biodiversity with human activities at different scales. My main interest is to understand how human-related landscape alterations affect the persistence of species and the maintenance of ecological processes. I like to address these issues integrating field-based and remotely sensed data with statistical modeling approaches to study species response to landscape structure.
