He has worked carrying out various types of socioeconomic studies, mainly focused on evaluating the impact of agricultural projects in different countries. His main research focuses on Central America, but he also has experience in Africa. In collaboration with local, regional and university researchers, his work focuses on the design of economic impact evaluations, evaluating alternatives for the collection and assembly of technology diffusion data, evaluating the impact of agricultural interventions with coffee growers in Nicaragua and Honduras, and the evaluation of the impact of biofortified varieties among producers in Central America. His professional interests include, but are not limited to, estimating the adoption and socioeconomic impact of improved varieties in developing countries using household data, evaluating the impact of agricultural research products on nutrition and health, evaluating alternative technologies for collect household data for impact evaluations, and study seed systems
