Biography

Researcher in Irrigation Systems at INIA La Platina and Professor of the Chair of Hydraulics and Irrigation at the Universidad Mayor. Agricultural Engineer with a major in Engineering and Soils (University of Chile), Master in Irrigation Engineering (CEDEX, Spain) and PhD in Engineering Systems (Washington State University, USA). Dr. Antúnez has led projects with FIA, CORFO, FONTAGRO and FIC financing, related to optimizing the use of water resources at the intra-farm level. He has more than 25 years of experience in research and technology transfer in irrigation and about 20 scientific, dissemination and technology transfer articles published in the last decade. Additionally, he has advised companies and producers in the management of irrigation in fruit species.
