Master Senior Researcher, Vegetable Network, AGROSAVIA. Agronomist, National University of Colombia, Medellín campus, with a Master’s degree in Entomology from the same institution, specializing in integrated pest management. From April 2008 to August 2012, Coordinator of the National Vegetable Network. First Innovation Manager of the Vegetable Network (2012–2014). Has 32 years of experience working with ICA, CORPOICA, and AGROSAVIA in vegetable production systems. He has led research and technology transfer projects in partnership with other institutions, which have facilitated the validation and dissemination of applied and participatory research on topics such as artisanal vegetable seed production, Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), Clean Vegetable Production, the evaluation of imported vegetable materials, and the development of technological models. These models consist of technical and agronomic recommendations for competitive and sustainable vegetable cultivation in both protected and open-field conditions.
He is the leader at AGROSAVIA for the research and technology transfer line promoting protected agriculture for vegetable production in areas with high temperatures and cold climates.
