Principal Investigator at INIA. Marina Castro is an Agricultural Engineer graduated from the Faculty of Agronomy of the University of the Republic of Uruguay. He earned his MSc and PhD in Crop Science from Oregon State University in the United States. She is currently Coordinator of the Evaluation of Cultivars at the National Institute for Agricultural Research (INIA). She works in Crop Ecophysiology, with an emphasis on tolerance of genotypes to abiotic stresses. Participates in regional research projects financed by the Regional Fund for Agricultural Technology (FONTAGRO) and Cooperative Program for the Agro-food and Agroindustrial Technological Development of the Southern Cone (PROCISUR), which involve Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, with the objective of mitigating the effects of climate change on agriculture.
