Mónica Rebuffo (M.Phil) has 25 years of experience in genetic improvement and evaluation of varieties of forage legumes as well as in management of genetic resources (See CV). She has generated cultivars and experimental lines of cultivated legumes (L. corniculatus cv INIA Draco and LE 212; T. pratense cv. INIA Mizar and LE 113, M. sativa LE71-133 and LE71-134, L. uliginosus LE 627 and LE 205), and is responsible for the varietal maintenance of public cultivars (L. corniculatus cv San Gabriel, Estanzuela Ganador; T. pratense cv Estanzuela 116; M. sativa cv Estanzuela Chaná). Due to concern about the effect of globalization on genetic erosion, she has actively worked in the collection, conservation and management of genetic resources of adapted species, particularly forage legumes.
