Biography

B.S. in Biotechnology with major in Molecular Biology from National University of Quilmes, Argentina (2003); and PhD in Plant Science (Phytopathology) from University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas USA (2012). Worked as a Junior Research Assistant for the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA) in Argentina as member of Rice Molecular Breeding Laboratory from 2003 to 2007. Research experience and principal research interest, focussed in Molecular Phytopatology, with special emphasis in population studies of rice (Oryza sativa) pathogenic fungi (including Pyricularia oryzae and Rhizoctonia solani) and QTL-mapping for disease resistance in rice.
