Leader of the National Program at INTA since 1989, Livore obtained his Ph.D. from Texas A&M University in Genetics in 1988 and a Master of Science in Plant Breeding in 1985 after graduating from the Faculty of Agronomy at the University of Buenos Aires as a Phytotechnical Agronomist Engineer.
Dr. Livore coordinated the rice breeding program in Entre Ríos, Argentina for many years and in 2005, he patented a new mutation of the AHAS gene and launched a new variety of long grain resistant to herbicides with high yield and great quality, PUITA INTA CL. Currently, Dr. Livore's last variety released, GURI INTA CL, CL is the most popular variety planted in South and Central America.
