Scientific trajectory
I carried out my scientific career in the Department of Biodiversity and Experimental Biology of the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences (previously Department of Biological Sciences) to which I joined in 1970 as full-time assistant teacher. In that institution I held different positions, being appointed Consultant Professor in 2007. In 1974 I joined as a member of the Scientific Researcher Career, occupying since 2009 the position of Senior Researcher.
I have obtained different research grants: 1978-1978 CONICET external grant to study soil fungi with Dennis Parkinson at the University of Calgary. In 1988, a Grant from the Spanish Ministry of Education a research grant at the Zaidín Experimental Station, Granada Spain supervised by Dr. Juan A. Ocampo Bote. Finally I got a research stay, granted by the Ministry of Education of Mexico at INECOL, Xalapa, Mexico, at Dr. G. Heredia Abarca lab.
