Mario Lobo was a Doctor from Florida International University in Genetics and Physiology, distinguished for his extensive experience as Coordinator of the Genetic Resources and Plant Biotechnology Program at Agrosavia. Likewise, he was a prominent member of scientific societies such as: American Society for Horticultural Science, Tomato Genetics Cooperative, PEA Genetics Association, Colombian Society of Genetics, Colombian Society of Plant Breeding and Crop Production, Colombian Association of Phytopathology, Passiflora International Society, and of the FAO Genetic Resources Commission in Italy.
