Graduated as an agricultural engineer with a mention in Animal Production from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), Dominican Republic. Master of Agronomic Sciences with emphasis on Pastures and Forages (2011). He has a postgraduate degree in teacher training focused on competency learning (Universidad Central del Este, San Pedro de Macorís, 2015).
He is a Researcher at the Dominican Institute of Agricultural and Forestry Research (IDIAF) and assistant professor (2009) at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus. As a professor and researcher of pastures and forages, he conducts research on the introduction of species of grasses and forage legumes, management and conservation of pastures and forage alternatives. In addition, he is coordinator and collaborator of projects on climate change and has published as author and co-author in magazines and books, financed by FONTAGRO, IDB, FAO and other institutions linked to the agricultural sector.
