Cecilia Berrueta is an Agricultural Engineer, graduated from the University of the Republic, Faculty of Agronomy (Uruguay). She has a Master's and Doctorate in Agricultural Sciences from the University of the Republic (Uruguay). She is a professional dedicated to research since 2010 at INIA Las Brujas (Uruguay), participating and leading projects in the area of management and physiology of horticultural crops. Her most recent works have to do with the quantification and explanation of the yield gaps and economic gaps in horticultural crops in Uruguay through studies on farms and using simulation models. She is currently working on adjusting water and nutrient consumption models in fertigation crops under greenhouses and adjusting the use of tools for monitoring water and nutrients in soil and plants.
