Biography
Pablo Álvarez is an agronomist from Universidad De Chile and currently Coordinator of the Hydrology and Water Management Group and Researcher at Universidad La Serena. His doctoral studies were carried out in Water Resources Management, at the Université d'Orléans (France). Currently, he is also the Director of the Laboratory for Prospecting, Monitoring and Modeling of Agricultural and Environmental Resources (PROMMRA), dependent on the Department of Agronomy of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of La Serena, Chile. Its objective is to contribute to reducing technological gaps in the agri-food sector, by stopping needs and generating knowledge of the agricultural and natural resource base, identifying the impact on productive systems and on development.
