Roberto Simón Martínez is Argentine, Agricultural Engineer from the National University of the South (1991), Master in Agricultural Sciences from the National University of the South and PhD from the Agricultural Sciences and Engineering program at the University of Castilla-La Mancha. He has been a researcher at INTA since 2001. His place of work is the EEA INTA Valle Inferior del Río Negro within a work team that aims to contribute to the sustainability of the agricultural system, where the main topics of experimentation and extension are irrigation and annual crop management. He coordinated regional projects in Northern Patagonia related to soils, irrigation and crop management from 2006 to 2012 and within the National Water Program of INTA, from 2012 to 2018 the integrator of the three irrigation projects, currently he is interim coordinator of the Structural Project "Use and efficient water management in irrigation systems ”. He is a university professor in Hydrology and Irrigation at the National University of Río Negro, where he was director and co-director of different research projects. He participated in transfer and extension work in his work region and in other regions of the country and in international cooperation work.
