Claudio García is Uruguayan, an agronomist graduated from the University of the Republic (Uruguay), a specialist in water management in agricultural production systems and irrigation systems and methods. Master's and Doctorate from the Federal University of Santa María (Brazil). He has been dedicated to research since 1990 without interruption at INIA Las Brujas (Uruguay), participating and leading national and international projects. He has more than 70 publications in national and international magazines both in peer-reviewed magazines and outreach and dissemination magazines for technicians and producers, all related to irrigation. More than 50 presentations at national and international meetings, symposia, seminars and congresses. He is the author of more than 10 book chapters on the subject of irrigation. He carried out more than 40 tutorials and co-tutorials for undergraduate and graduate students, both nationally and internationally. Since 2015, he has been a member of the technical commission of Section I of the CIGR (International Commission of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering) www.cigr.org. In addition, he is a member of the steering committee of the GWP-Uruguay (Global Water Partnership) https://www.gwp.org.
