Gabriela Alejandra Barraza is Professor in Computer Science, graduated from the National University of Santiago del Estero, Argentina. She is currently doing a Magister in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems of the Faculty of Agronomy of the National University of the Center of the Province of Buenos Aires (UNCPBA). She works at the Natural Resources Group-INTA EEA Santiago del Estero. Her specialty is the Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing, she also updated the subject of Spatial Data Infrastructure (IDE), in databases and free GIS software. She has participated in international research projects, such as MAPBIOMAS (TNC), EUROCLIMA+ (EXPERTISE FRANCE), Project for mapping the state of degradation of Chaco pastures (TNC), FONTAGRO. She works in the conformation and implementation of the Territorial Nodes, in the design and implementation of a GIS for the evaluation of natural resources and territorial planning, in the organization and participation in training courses on information survey with GPS, free GIS software and image processing.
