Luis Manuel Urbina Urbina is a Phytotechnical Agricultural Engineer, graduated from the Universidad Nacional Agraria (UNA) of Nicaragua. He is a Magister Scientizae in Integrated Watershed Management, graduated from the Centro Agronomico Tropical de Investigacion y Enseñanza (CATIE), Costa Rica. He has a Specialty in Fertilization and Plant Nutrition at CSIC, El Zaidin, Granada, Spain, a Diploma in Research with an agroecological focus at UNA-Nicaragua. He has been a Research Professional at INTA since 1993. He currently works as Regional Research Coordinator of INTA in the RIII, Managua, Nicaragua, developing research activities in the area of soils, fertilization, plant nutrition, basic grains (corn, rice , Beans, sorghum) and vegetables (tomato and chiltoma).
