Biography

Agricultural Engineer, graduated from the Faculty of Agronomy of the University Of San Carlos De Guatemala, with 33 years of professional career at the Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology, ICTA. He has held various positions, from Technician and Manager of the Vegetable Program in Huehuetenango, Guatemala. Regional Director of Region VII, El Quiché and Huehuetenango. Manager and Coordinator of the Technological Promotion and Support Unit at the national level. Coordinator of the Discipline of Validation and Technology Transfer at the national level. National Coordinator of the BioFORT Platform in Guatemala and currently Coordinator of the Cooperation and Linkage Unit. Considering all the positions described above, his technical experience is oriented in Generation, Validation and Transfer of Technology at the farm level in temperate and cold climate vegetables, Preparation, planning and execution of agricultural research projects, Administration of physical, financial and according to the research protocols, Monitoring and evaluation of research projects, Technical training of extension agents and producers.
