She is an Ingeniera Agrónoma (between Bachelor and Master degree in Agronomy Sciences) with a passion for potato crop and plant pathology. She continued her training with a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences. She has been working for more than 20 years in agricultural research and development projects at the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA) and in collaboration with Wageningen University and Research for the last 6 years in the framework of an itinerant postdoc. She is responsible for the Mycology and Bacteriology Laboratory of the Plant Health and Potato Research Groups of the Balcarce Agricultural Experimental Station of INTA.
She worked with various scientific groups around the world, with a global vision of Decision Support Systems for the control of potato late blight and the genotyping of populations of P. infestans. This has been translated by different collaborative projects carried out and works published in the area.
She has practical experience in Argentina (where potatoes are produced in different climate zones throughout the country), in Latin America, and in Europe, capable of being adapted and/or extrapolated to new areas to increase the knowledge of potato in a durable way.
She is coordinator of the genotyping of P. infestans populations of the Latin American Network for research on blights: TizonLatino.
